Smile Education, Northwest is now recruiting for a full-time Science Teacher for a secondary school based in Moston.

What will the role involve?
  • Preparing Science teaching and learning materials.
  • Providing guidance and advice to pupils on education and on their further education and careers.
  • Providing feedback to students and parents, through consultation evenings, phone calls or written communication as appropriate.
  • Contributing to department planning and self-evaluation.
  • Providing professional support to other teachers and support staff.
  • Attending departmental and school meetings, either during or after the school day, as requested.
 
What do you need?
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the update service (If you do not hold this, we can arrange for you at a cost of £44, which is refundable once you have completed ten days in your new role.)
  • A teaching qualification with QTS and experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 in line with the British Curriculum
  • A valid PGCE/QTS
  • Knowledge of the UK Secondary Curriculum and the subjects.
  • 2 education-based references in the last 24 months.
  • A passion for teaching.
  • Good approach to behaviour management.
  • A determined, hard-working attitude.
