Do you have experience teaching the Science KS3-GCSE curriculum?

We are currently seeking three talented and motivated Science teachers to join our reputable teaching recruitment agency and take on full teaching responsibilities at our Secondary schools in the Weald of Kent area. Starting from September, you'll welcome year groups into the new academic year with a re-invigored excitement for Science. Covering Terms 1 and 2 (until December), you'll be laying the foundations for another academic year of success.

Secondary Science Teacher:
As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons to students across Key Stage 3-4, Key Stage 5 an advantage but not essential. 
Your main focus will be to engage students, foster their scientific curiosity, and help them achieve excellent academic results.
You will utilise your subject knowledge, teaching techniques, and effective classroom management skills to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver Science lessons that align with the curriculum, ensuring effective coverage of key topics and concepts.
• Develop and implement engaging teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
• Assess student progress through regular evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement strategies for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and any other relevant information.
• Collaborate with other teachers and faculty members to support whole school policies and practices.

Requirements:

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent recognised in the UK with a degree or similar in your chosen Science field. 
• Experience teaching Science at the secondary level, preferably with a focus on GCSE.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• MUST be local to the Weald of Kent area. 
• MUST hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willing to apply.
