Teaching Personnel are working alongside a small academy based in Southampton who work with pupils of ages 11-16. This role is mainly focused on KS3 learning and the school is looking for some inspirational teachers to be a part of delivering their broad and exciting curriculum to ensure that the pupils are achieving their full potential.

This role is designed for an individual that is passionate about the subject and will be able to:

• Demonstrate good subject knowledge and the drive to improve it.
• Display the ability to create good working relationships with fellow teachers and colleagues.
• Demonstrate the ability to produce high quality teaching and behaviour management.

This role holds lots of responsibilities such as:

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality science lessons that engage and challenge students across different key stages.
• Teach a range of science subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, inspiring students to develop a deep understanding of scientific concepts.
• Promote a safe laboratory environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines, and instilling responsible scientific practices.

This is a temporary contract for the rest of the academic year initially, the school are looking to appoint for September 2025. Therefore, there is a genuine opportunity to transfer onto a permanent contract if desired. This is a great opportunity for a new qualified or experienced Science teacher to join this school on their exciting journey. Part-time may also be considered if a job share can be made possible.
