A highly reputable and specialised secondary school in Westbury, dedicated to supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Science Teacher. This role is available from September or sooner on a permanent basis. The school is recognized for its commitment to providing exceptional tailored education to help each student thrive both academically and emotionally.

Responsibilities:
*
Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating and differentiated science lessons that meet the needs of students with SEMH.
*
Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage and inspire students, while promoting their scientific understanding and curiosity.
*
Assess, monitor, and support students' progress, adapting teaching methods to cater to individual needs.
*
Collaborate with colleagues to implement strategies that contribute to a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
*
Maintain discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and homework.
*
Participate in departmental meetings, professional development activities, and whole-school training events.

Requirements:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK with a degree in Science or a related subject.
*
Experience teaching science, preferably in an SEMH setting or similar environment.
*
Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH needs and the strategies required for their academic and social development.
*
Ability to develop and foster the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of children, according to age, ability, and aptitude.
*
Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively, incorporating a range of strategies to cater to diverse learning styles.
*
Excellent communication skills and the ability to form positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
