Role Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our team in September. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality science lessons to students aged 11-16. You will inspire a passion for science, encouraging curiosity and critical thinking, while supporting students' academic progress and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic and engaging science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Assess, monitor, and record students' progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Develop and implement effective classroom management strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and ensure a cohesive learning experience.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to support the wider school community.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the subject and pedagogical practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in a relevant science subject (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
  • Proven experience teaching science at the secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching.
