About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Science Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Alton. This full-time position offers a fantastic opportunity to teach Science across Key Stage 3 and 4, with a varied timetable that includes English and general cover to complement the Science lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Science Teaching: Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, catering to a range of abilities.
  • English and General Cover: Teach English and provide general cover across various subjects to fill the full-time schedule.
  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all students, fostering a love for learning and academic growth.
  • Student Engagement: Inspire and motivate students, helping them to achieve their full potential.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, managing behaviour in line with school policies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science, with the ability to teach across Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Flexibility to teach English and cover other subjects as required.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are qualifying this year are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will be subject to a comprehensive Safer in Education check, including an enhanced DBS check, in line with school and Teaching Personnel’s safeguarding policies.
