An amazing Secondary school in Nprthampton, Northamptonshire is seeking a dedicated and fully qualified Science Teacher to join their permanent staff list from September 2024. An 11-18 secondary school based in Northampton is currently looking for a full-time permanent teacher of computer science from September 2024 onwards. The school is very supportive of it’s staff and prides itself on it’s high standards which has led to a track record of excellent exam results and a cohort of staff who are happy within their workplace. The school is close to public transport (30 minute bus from town centre)


Role Requirements:
• Qualifications: A 
recognized teaching qualification (QTS) with a specialization in Science education.
• Experience: Proven experience teaching Science within a special educational needs (SEN) setting, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and needs of SEN students.
• Skills: Exceptional classroom management skills, the ability to differentiate instruction, and a patient, empathetic approach tailored to the individual needs of students.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the Science curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, and familiarity with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and their effective implementation.
• Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Commitment: A passion for SEN education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Professional Development: A proactive approach to professional development, with a willingness to stay updated on best practices and innovations in SEN education.

Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons that meet the diverse needs and abilities of SEN students.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of student progress and achievements.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning.
• Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and contribute positively to the school community.
