Are you a passionate and dedicated Science teacher looking for a new challenge? About the Role: As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach A-Level classes depending on your experience and the school’s needs. You will be expected to create engaging and effective lesson plans that not only cover the curriculum but also ignite curiosity and a love for learning in your students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Outstanding Lessons: Teach Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics, ensuring lessons are well-planned, differentiated, and engaging for all students.
  • Assess and Monitor Progress: Regularly assess students' work, provide constructive feedback, and use data to inform your teaching and help students reach their full potential.
  • Create a Positive Learning Environment: Establish and maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, where students feel safe, supported, and motivated to succeed.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other members of the Science department to share resources, ideas, and best practices. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Support Student Development: Encourage students to develop their scientific skills through practical experiments, inquiry-based learning, and critical thinking.
  • Engage with Parents and Guardians: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about students progress and any concerns, fostering a collaborative approach to student development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics.
  • Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level, with a track record of achieving strong student outcomes.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for education.
