A renowned group of high-achieving Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join their permanent staff in Silverstone. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs.

Role Overview: The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inclusive Science lessons to students with diverse learning needs. They will work collaboratively with a skilled team of educators to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that promotes academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with colleagues and specialists.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEN education.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities and school events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Science, preferably within an SEN setting.
  • Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by SEN students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable with a passion for teaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications or training in Special Educational Needs.
  • Experience with a range of SEN conditions, including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
  • Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive teaching materials.
