As a Science Teacher, you will:

  • Inspire a Love for Science: Teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students in a way that sparks curiosity and deepens their understanding of scientific concepts across biology, chemistry, and physics.
  • Plan Engaging Lessons: Develop creative and challenging lessons that encourage hands-on learning and experimentation.
  • Monitor and Support: Track student progress, offer individualised feedback, and work closely with support staff to ensure every student can succeed.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning, using effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Department Collaboration: Work closely with the Science department to plan and deliver the curriculum and participate in extracurricular activities, such as science clubs and school trips.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): You must hold UK QTS and have the right to work in the UK.
  • Passion for Science: A genuine enthusiasm for teaching science and inspiring students to achieve their best.
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is required, with a record of delivering excellent academic outcomes.
  • Strong Communicator: Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with students of varying abilities.
  • Commitment to Development: A willingness to contribute to the wider school community and support extracurricular activities where possible.
