Science Teacher

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and passionate Science Teacher to join our client secondary school located in Stockport, after the October half term.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or a newly qualified teacher to contribute to the academic success and personal development of both KS3 and KS4 students.

Payscales will be adhered to with applications encouraged from all experience levels: M1 – UPS3.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students in accordance with the national curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student participation and fosters a love for literature and language.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through regular formative and summative assessments.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students, parents, and colleagues to support individual growth and improvement.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum for Science at the secondary level.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage students effectively.
  • Proven experience in planning and delivering high-quality lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with educational best practices.
