Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential opportunity to contribute to Key Stage 5. This role offers a chance to inspire young learners, develop their interest in science, and help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Assess, monitor, and support the academic progress of students.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative teaching resources and strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with the Science department and the wider school team to create a positive learning environment.
  • Support students' pastoral and academic needs, ensuring their well-being and development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • A degree in a relevant Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Experience with Key Stage 5 would be advantageous.
  • A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A dedication to ongoing professional development and a willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities.
