Teaching Personnel is seeking experienced and qualified Science Teachers (QTS) to join our dedicated secondary schools in the Portsmouth area. We are looking for passionate individuals committed to sharing their knowledge and supporting students in overcoming challenges in Science.

  • Deliver inspiring and engaging Science lessons that stimulate student's curiosity, adapt to different learning abilities, and encourage participation.
  • Create and implement lesson plans that meet the national curriculum standards, ensuring lessons are inclusive for all students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and addressing any learning difficulties to support individual growth.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and manage behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment.
  • Support students overcoming challenges by fostering a nurturing and encouraging classroom culture.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and take part in school-wide activities, contributing to the broader educational community.

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Proven experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Experience in Key Stage 5 is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt lessons to suit different learners.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff, fostering an environment where pupils feel supported and engaged.
