Teaching Personnel is currently looking to bring on a dynamic and enthusiastic Science Teacher to take on a long-term vacancy at a brilliant Secondary School in the Pontypridd area. This is a long-term position covering a maternity beginning ASAP and running until July at the minimum. This position will be paying in line with the Welsh Government framework totaling a daily rate of minimum £157.66.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and teach engaging Science lessons, inspiring students across different age groups and abilities.
• Get creative with teaching strategies to encourage critical thinking and curiosity about the world.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom where every student feels valued and supported.
• Work with colleagues to contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Specialization or strong background in Science
• Experience teaching Chemistry, Biology & Physics at various levels.
• Passion for education and inspiring students.
• Good communication skills and ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds.
• Current Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service.*
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
