Are you passionate about science and eager to support the next generation of scientists? Our secondary school in Oldham is seeking a dedicated Science Technician to join our team and contribute to a vibrant learning environment.

  • Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science lessons and experiments.
  • Ensure the laboratory is clean, safe, and well-organized.
  • Assist teachers during practical lessons and provide support to students.
  • Maintain and repair laboratory equipment.
  • Manage and order stock of chemicals and other materials.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the laboratory.
  • Relevant qualification in science or experience working in a laboratory setting.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a laboratory environment.
  • DBS certificate or willingness to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
