Science Technician Required for a Secondary School in Darwen – Temp-to-Perm

Are you passionate about science and looking to support the next generation of budding scientists? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Science Technician to join a vibrant secondary school in Darwen, starting in December on a temporary-to-permanent basis!

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare, set up, and maintain equipment for science lessons (Chemistry, Physics, and Biology)
  • Assist teachers with practical demonstrations and experiments
  • Ensure laboratories are safe, clean, and fully stocked
  • Support students during practical sessions and maintain health & safety standards
  • Manage and maintain stock levels and equipment

What We’re Looking For:

  • A strong interest in science and a basic understanding of laboratory procedures
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in a similar role or relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
