  • Provide one-on-one tutoring to students in the subject of Science
  • Create and implement individualised lesson plans to cater to the learning needs of students
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers regarding student progress
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods to engage students and enhance their understanding of Science concepts
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalant teaching qualification 
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Science Education, Biology, Chemistry)

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Science

  • Strong understanding of Science curriculum and teaching methods
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience and empathy when working with students

The Science Tutor role is a temporary position based in Buckingham, requiring part-time hours. The tutor will work closely with students in a one-on-one setting, either in person or remotely. The ability to travel to student locations may be necessary. The role may involve evening or weekend sessions to accommodate student schedules.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
