Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English tutoring for secondary students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Create engaging lesson plans and resources to support student learning and development
  • Adapt teaching methods to cater to the individual needs and learning styles of students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
  • Collaborate with SEN coordinators and other educators to ensure a holistic approach to student support

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in Education or English
  • Experience working with students with SEN

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, temporary position
  • Work on-site at a secondary school in Merton, Greater London
  • Collaborative work environment with other educators and support staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
