Job Title: Second in Charge of Mathematics

Location: Basingstoke

Position Overview: Are you a dedicated and experienced Mathematics teacher ready to take on a leadership role? Join our dynamic school in Basingstoke as the Second in Charge of Mathematics. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to contribute to the development and success of the Mathematics department. The role offers full-time employment with potential for temporary to permanent placement, or consideration for long-term supply arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Mathematics in leading and managing the Mathematics department, contributing to the development of curriculum, resources, and strategies to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Play a key role in maintaining high standards of teaching and learning within the department, providing guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Lead by example, delivering outstanding Mathematics lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Assist in the assessment, tracking, and monitoring of student progress, implementing strategies to address areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Significant experience teaching Mathematics to secondary school students.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for Mathematics and a desire to inspire students to achieve their full potential.
