We are seeking a Secondary English Tutor to join our team in Reading, Berkshire. This is a temporary, part-time position in the Education and Training industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing English tuition to secondary school students in the South East England region.

  • Deliver engaging and interactive English lessons to secondary school students
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
  • Develop tailored lesson plans to meet the individual needs of students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures
  • Experience teaching English at a secondary school level
  • Strong knowledge of the UK secondary school curriculum

Bachelor's degree in English or a related field

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at a secondary school level

  • Demonstrated SEN experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
  • Strong organisational and time management skills

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis. The tutor will be based in Reading, Berkshire, and will be required to travel within the South East England region to deliver tuition sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
