Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time

Salary: £90 - £110 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to secondary school students with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students
  • Support classroom teachers in delivering tailored lessons to meet students' needs
  • Help students with academic tasks, including reading, writing, and numeracy
  • Encourage student participation and engagement in classroom activities
  • Assist in managing behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role within a school environment
  • Knowledge of special educational needs (SEN) and different learning disabilities
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Ability to adapt support strategies to individual student needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Additional training in special educational needs (SEN)

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, typically during school hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
