  • Plan and deliver engaging maths lessons to secondary school students
  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions
  • Assess student learning needs and develop individualised learning plans
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
  • Utilise different teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles
  • Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary school level
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Maths
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting

  • Excellent understanding of secondary level mathematics concepts
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational and time-management skills
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or Maths
  • Experience using technology in the classroom

This role involves working part-time hours in a secondary school setting in Wokingham, Berkshire. The tutor may need to travel between different schools or work with students in alternative educational settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
