The Secondary Science Teacher QTS will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging science lessons to secondary school students. They will create a positive learning environment, assess student progress, and provide feedback to support their development. Additionally, the teacher will participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and contribute to the overall educational ethos of the school.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
Bachelor's degree in Science or related field
Previous experience teaching science at the secondary level is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the UK national curriculum for science, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to engage and motivate students, proficiency in classroom management, and a passion for education.
Postgraduate certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent
The Secondary Science Teacher QTS will work in a school environment, following the academic calendar and timetable. They may be required to attend meetings outside of regular hours and participate in school events. The role involves standing for extended periods, interacting with students and colleagues, and maintaining a professional and supportive attitude.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
