- Provide support to secondary school students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development - Assist the classroom teacher in implementing individual education plans for students with SEN - Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students - Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to provide additional support and guidance - Support students with emotional, social, or behavioural difficulties - Assist with classroom management and organisation - Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students with SEN

- A relevant diploma or certification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Teaching Assistance - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting students with SEN - Ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

- Previous experience working with students with SEN is desirable but not essential

- Understanding of different learning styles and strategies to support students with SEN - Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures - Ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students with SEN - Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively

- Additional qualifications in areas such as Makaton, Autism Awareness, or Behaviour Management

- Work in a school setting with regular school hours - May involve some physical activity and the ability to assist students with mobility issues - Potential exposure to challenging behaviour from students with SEN, requiring a calm and patient approach
