Job Duties:
- Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a secondary school setting
- Assist SEN students with their individual learning needs and help them to access the curriculum
- Work closely with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for SEN students
- Support SEN students with social and emotional development
- Assist in classroom management and ensuring a safe learning environment for all students
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support SEN students
Education:
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Experience:
- Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment
- Experience supporting SEN students in an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of SEN support strategies and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and understanding towards SEN students
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Additional training in supporting students with specific SEN conditions
Working Conditions:
- Temporary position with the possibility of extension
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
