Job Title: Full-Time Secondary School Teaching Assistants
Location: Truro and Surrounding Areas
Contract: Temporary, 0 Hour Contract

Job Description:

Are you passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact on young people's lives? We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team, supporting secondary schools across Truro and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, ensuring they can access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Support students with additional needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as preparing teaching materials and resources.
  • Encourage student participation and engagement in school activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with young people is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A positive, proactive approach to supporting students and staff.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different schools across the region.
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
