We are seeking motivated and reliable Cover Supervisors to join our team, supporting students across both primary and secondary schools in Basingstoke. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in gaining classroom experience while contributing to a positive learning environment.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher. You’ll provide supervision, maintain order, and offer support to students to ensure they remain engaged and on-task during lessons.

Whether working in a primary or secondary school setting, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on students' education and development.

  • Supervising classes and ensuring students remain focused and productive during lessons.
  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons or activities set by the teacher.
  • Managing classroom behavior and responding to any immediate issues or concerns.
  • Providing assistance to students where necessary to help them complete tasks.
  • Upholding school policies, including safeguarding and behavior management.
  • Reporting on student progress and any issues that arise during your cover.
  • Minimum of GCSEs or Level 2 equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting or with children (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
  • Confidence, resilience, and adaptability in a variety of classroom settings.
  • A commitment to supporting student progress and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Awareness of safeguarding procedures and the ability to respond appropriately.
