Are you passionate about transforming the educational journey of young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and committed SEMH Maths Teacher to join a specialist school in Bridgwater. This is an exciting opportunity to work full-time, delivering high-quality education in a small, focused classroom setting of just 4 students, with the aim of securing a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to a small class of 4 students aged 7-16, all of whom have SEMH needs.
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans to support each student's academic progress and emotional well-being.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes both learning and personal growth.
  • Collaborate closely with the school's multidisciplinary team, including SENCOs, therapists, and teaching assistants, to provide holistic support.
  • Continuously assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet evolving needs.
  • Foster strong, supportive relationships with students, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • SEMH experience is desirable.
