SEND Teaching Assistant

Full time, fixed term – 1 year contract
Smile Education South Yorkshire are recruiting for an SEND Teaching Assistant for wonderful primary school based in Chesterfield. The school are looking for someone to offer classroom-based learning, combined with assisting the well-being of children, including pastoral, social and emotional wellbeing.
The school is part of a MAT, who all share the same faith-filled beliefs of showing compassion, hope, truthful and grateful values throughout the whole school.
The biggest focus will be to ensure they are attending school & are able to confide in you, should they have any issues.
What will you require for this SEND Teaching Assistant role?
- Level 3 Teaching Learning and Supporting in Schools
- Behaviour management
- SEND / SEMH
- Kind and empathic nature
- Previous 1:1 experience with children is desirable.
