Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Support Staff Member to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Stockport. You will work closely with students facing various SEMH challenges, providing both classroom support and pastoral care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with SEMH needs in group settings or on a 1:1 basis
  • Assisting in the creation of individualised support plans
  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies
  • Managing behaviour effectively to foster a safe learning environment
  • Monitoring progress and reporting on student development

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people with SEMH or SEN needs
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with students
  • Previous experience in an educational or youth work setting (preferred)
