As an SEMH Teacher, you will be instrumental in creating a positive and supportive learning environment for students with SEMH needs. You will design and implement tailored educational programs, manage classroom behavior, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support each student's holistic development.


  • Curriculum Development: Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to SEMH students' individual needs.
  • Behavior Management: Implement effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, parents, and external agencies to support student well-being.
  • Progress Monitoring: Assess and track student progress, providing regular feedback to stakeholders.
  • IEP Implementation: Develop and execute Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and participate in multi-agency meetings.

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with SEMH students, SEN, or managing behavioral challenges.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience, resilience, and the ability to differentiate teaching methods.
