A secondary pupil referral unit in Manchester are looking for a full-time teacher to take on a position in which multiple subjects will need to be taught. The students are aged 11-16 and are all currently out of mainstream schooling due to various social, emotional and mental health needs, and so need additional support when in school.
Due to small classroom sizes, you will work with the students on multiple topics that they are currently studying and may be expected to plan and mark work for some of these lessons. You will also be expected to lead a group of support staff within the classroom to ensure lessons run smoothly and the needs of each student are met.
Most of the students will have an EHCP that will guide their learning and support, so you will be expected to have knowledge of the different plans in place and be able to implement this into your work and teaching.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
