Permanent SEMH Teacher – Bury St Edmunds – January 2025 (or sooner)

A highly reputable SEMH/SEN school group is seeking an enthusiastic and committed SEMH Teacher to join their permanent team at their Bury St Edmunds site. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to students with SEMH/SEN needs
• Foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists
• Develop and implement personalized learning plans (EHCPs)

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience in teaching students with SEMH/SEN needs, ideally within a specialist setting
• Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
• Dedication to supporting the emotional, social, and academic growth of students
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
