SEMH Teaching Assistant

A Secondary Alternative Provision in the Preston and surrounding areas are looking to recruit  Support Assistants to work across their provisions.

As many of the young people may not have experienced a very positive time at their mainstream school and as such, they work hard to reinstate their self-confidence and self-belief as they strive to re-engage them with their learning.

Important information

-          Part-time position

-          £11.85 - £13.00 per hour

-          Must have great availabity for the during of the role the hours are 8:30 – 3:30pm

-          Temporary contract

The role will be to support the pupils in and out on the classroom. You will be required to de-escalate challenging behaviour in a calm manner and to support help remove any existing ‘barriers’ to learning whilst encouraging participation and achievement.
