Join our team at Teaching Personnel and embark on an enriching journey with one of our respected schools in Portsmouth, dedicated to nurturing children with Social Emotional Mental Health needs (SEMH).

The children you will be supporting will be Secondary aged, who will require someone who is resilient and flexible whilst also compassionate and able to build positive relationships. 

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching staff and providing vital support to students with behavioural and emotional needs. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Prior experience working in SEN/SEMH settings, personal or professional.
  • Enthusiasm for unlocking each student's potential.
  • Commitment to supporting the students, and collaborating with colleagues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and reliability.
  • Embraces challenges as growth opportunities.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to. 

Full-time hours: 08:30 to 15:30 - these hours may differ slightly depending on the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
