An award-winning SEN School group in Worcestershire-Kidderminster is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher of English to join their permanent staff. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and promotes self-esteem.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEN education.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A recognized qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Proven experience teaching English, preferably within a SEN setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students with diverse needs.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
