An award-winning SEN school group is seeking an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the permanent team at their alternative site in Dorset. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment, helping children and young people with Special Educational Needs thrive in their learning journey.

Role Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working with children with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to deliver planned learning activities, support individual learning, and lead small groups.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, working closely with teaching staff and external professionals.
  • A nurturing, patient, and flexible approach to support the individual needs of students.
