Have you always wanted to work in a school but haven't got any expereince of working in a classroom? As long as you have some experience of working alongside children, you can qualify for this role. We welcome candidates from various backgrounds which include but are not limited to: SMSAs, sports coaches, psychology graduates, youth workers, childminders etc.

  • Weekly Hours: (Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm)
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • You will be supporting a child in year 3 with an autism diagnosis, 
    • Working with the class teacher to integrate them back into the classroom,
    • Develop a positive relationship and respond appropriately to the children's needs,
    • Assist the whole class in integrating and participating in class activities.
    • Simplify tasks to ensure accessibility.
    • Support the child during lunchtime.
  • Skills and Experience:
    • Must demonstrate relevant skills with confidence.
    • Recent experience working with children.
    • Experience in a primary school setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
    • Experience with children with SEND is a plus but not required.
    • Ability to use initiative and proactively handle tasks.
  • Professional Development:
    • Access to our CPD academy.
    • A comprehensive induction program.
    • Assistance with DBS application.

To join Teaching Personnel and complete our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS registered with the Update Service. We offer full assistance for a new check, costing £38, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.

Upon a succesful 20 week probation period, exceptional candidates often go onto contract with the school (terms and conditions apply).
