SEN Learning Support Assistant
The Role:
As a learning support assistant you will be required to support pupils with additional needs to promote their learning and development in a school for pupils with generic learning difficulties that provides high quality for boys and girls aged 2-19. As a learning support assistant, your role is to provide general classroom support whilst delivering high quality interventions be it in small groups or 1:1 basis. You will need to be able to deal in high pressured situations in a calm and professional manner whilst nurturing each pupils needs. Qualifications GCSE or A-Level qualifications or equivalent are required, qualifications relevant to the job are desirable but not required.
The school:
This specialist school is based in Preston. All children have an EHC Plan which is an individualised timetable catered to the child's needs. The children have additional needs that require further support both in their learning and overall development. Whilst they do require extra support the school does try to promote its pupils to become independent learners, in an environment in which all pupil’s efforts and achievements can be celebrated. The school put communication and positive relationships high on their list of priorities and promote close working relationships with their children’s families.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
