Job Description:

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Tiverton from 1st October 2024. As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with special educational needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN, ensuring they are able to access the curriculum and participate fully in school activities.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) as directed by the SENCO and class teachers.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Help to manage behaviour and encourage positive social interactions among students.
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and other professionals to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and activities, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
