Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in Newton Abbot. The school caters to students aged 10-16 across five classes, offering a supportive and enriching environment for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN).

About the Role:

  • Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
  • Location: Newton Abbot
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Pay: £84.50 - £91.00 per day (dependent on experience)
  • Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with SEN, providing 1:1 or small group assistance in their academic and personal development.
  • Assisting the class teacher in managing behaviour and delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Supporting students in a nurturing environment, with proximity to sensory rooms, reflective spaces, and harbours (calm rooms) to help students regulate emotions and stay focused.
  • Helping students engage with a range of sensory and therapeutic resources.
