Do you have experience within a role that holds transferable skills, such as care assistant, support worker, residential care, sports coach, psychology grad etc?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to support our Primary and Secondary Special Educational Needs Schools in and around Kingston.   

We are able to accommodate part-time and adhoc workers, but are also looking for permanent members of staff!

  • Provide support and assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN) in their learning activities
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement individual education plans for students with SEN
  • Assist in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

  • Experience working with children with SEN (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN

This role may require working with students who have complex needs, which can be physically and emotionally demanding. The role is based in a school setting, following the school term calendar.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
