Successful SEN School located in the London Borough of Bromley is currently recruiting a 10 hour a week School Pool Cleaner to cover a part time in an ongoing long term contract. The successful School Pool Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the school premises and poolside and can start working immediately.

The successful SEND School Pool Cleaner must have relevant cleaning experience and have worked in a similar education setting such as an SEN School / Alternative Provision / Pupil Referral Unit/ Youth Centre / college OR mainstream school. Additionally you will have an Enhanced DBS or able to pay for a new one to start immediately.

In this School Cleaner / School Pool Cleaner position you will be accustomed to humid temperatures between 37 – 40 degrees. You would be cleaning and maintaining the swimming pool in a safe and sanitary condition; brushing and vacuuming the swimming pool according to the procedures; additionally scrubbing the pool tiles. Checking & performing preventive maintenance on pumps, chlorinators, heating and filtration equipment to maintain operative condition.

• Experience cleaning a school pool and the familiar with the chloride levels and disinfectants required
• Cleaning and disinfecting pool deck area
• Ensuring that all areas are clean and tidy at all times
• Emptying bins and disposing of rubbish
• Hoovering, cleaning the toilets, wiping down the classroom tables.
• Cleaning washrooms and replenishing supplies
• Using appropriate cleaning equipment and materials
• Reporting any damages or maintenance issues to the appropriate person
• Adhering to health and safety regulations
• Following cleaning schedules and procedures
• Working as part of a team to maintain a safe and clean environment
• Previous experience in school cleaning is imperative
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment and materials
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety regulations
• You have an in date Enhanced DBS or able to pay for a new one immediately
• You reside in close to the London Borough of Bromley
