  • Assist the classroom teacher in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in a secondary school setting
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Support with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
  • Assist in preparing and adapting teaching materials to meet the needs of SEN students
  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN

Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3)

Previous experience working with students with special educational needs in a school setting

  • Understanding of different learning needs and abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with SEN students
  • First Aid certification
  • Mental Health First Aid training
  • Work primarily within a secondary school setting
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
