We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Supply Teacher to join a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in New Milton, starting in January 2025. The Role:
As a Supply Teacher in this SEN school, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students with a variety of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and other learning challenges.
  • Collaborating with teaching assistants and SEN specialists to ensure that each student's individual learning plan is followed.
  • Adapting lessons to suit the diverse abilities of students, ensuring all pupils are supported to achieve their full potential.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to the SEN team and school leadership.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience working in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and behaviour management techniques.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the wider school team.
