Are you experienced supporting those with SEN or additional needs?

We are looking for a Primary Support Assistant to work on a full-time basis supporting a sensory room for pupils with ASC on a small group basis in a mainstream primary school.

Ideal applicants are those with:

  • Experience supporting those with SEN – Including ASC, SEMH, MLD and Behavioural difficulties
  • Safeguarding Training
  • A drive to help others and enjoy progress
  • Experience working within a school environment supporting KS1/KS2 pupils
  • Teaching Assistant Experience – Primary/Secondary

The position is full-time within school hours, and is scheduled to last until July 2024. In your role, you will be expected to motivate, encourage and monitor the pupils as they progress with the work set by the class teacher.

Other duties will include general classroom TA activities throughout the day and overall participation in activities. Your ability to provide constructive and relevant feedback to parents will be essential in your role within the school, so it is important that all applicants are capable of communicating effectively.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
