Location: Bispham (FY2)

Pay: £12.90-£13.50 hourly

Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm / Monday – Friday (part-time may be possible!)

Start date: ASAP/Start of November

We are seeking compassionate, proactive educators to join our team in supporting vulnerable young people with Special Educational Needs & Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in an education setting. This provision in the mainstream primary is designed to equip children with lifelong skills to give them the best opportunity for success in adulthood; this includes reforming challenging behaviours, providing pastoral support and giving them the tools to navigate their difficult emotions. This is a career for someone who is looking for an opportunity to shape the next generation and understands the challenges these young people might be facing.

Your role will be classroom based, assisting the class teacher with day-to-day routines, delivering interventions as guided and adapting to each child’s individual needs each day. These children could have experienced trauma, family breakdowns and other mental health difficulties, so you will need to be patient, resilient and confident in your ability to learn on the job!

  • Offering relevant training, including autism awareness and Team Teach
  • Trial preparation
  • Ongoing support from your consultant throughout the vetting checks and applying for a DBS!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
