About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is partnering with a leading secondary school to recruit a dedicated SEN Support Staff member for their specialized Provision Unit. This is a unique opportunity to work in a nurturing environment, supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with a range of SEN, including learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, and emotional or behavioral challenges.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) alongside teachers and the SENCO.
  • Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress, adapting support strategies as needed to ensure their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to deliver a holistic approach to student care.
  • Encourage and support the social and emotional well-being of students, promoting positive behavior and resilience.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with SEN students in an educational setting is essential.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and empathetic in challenging situations.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, child development, or SEN support are highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
