Teaching Personnel are recruiting for the role of an SEN Teacher for a school in the Wigan borough. This is for a provision facilitating for primary and secondary aged children, primarily with ASC. Pupils at this provision may have complex needs so it is important any candidates possess the specialist knowledge/training and are comfortable managing challenging behaviour.

Pay ranges from £100-£130 per day, with working hours being from 8:30am-3:30pm.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Executing tailored lesson plans
  • Tailoring the curriculum to specific special educational needs
  • Engaging pupils to ensure they are on track with their development
  • Reporting back on performance to promote best practice

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Teacher qualified
  • Previous SEN experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for the wellbeing of children with SEN
