Are you an experienced Teacher seeking a new role for September? Do you have a passion for supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs? Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced Teacher to join a Specialist School located in the heart of Bridgend town.

 

About the school:

  • The school caters for pupils between the ages of 3 and 19 who have a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
  • The needs of the pupils include Autism, physical disabilities, challenging behaviours and speech and language needs.
  • Located a short walk from the town centre, the school is easily accessible via car or public transport.
  • Classes are small to ensure lessons are accessible for all needs.
  • The school has a large team of educators, including Speech and Language Therapists, a Paediatrician, School Nurses, Occupational Therapists and a Teacher of the Visually Impaired.

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working as a primary or secondary teacher who has supported pupils with SEN, however the school are happy to support you in your induction to SEN if you can demonstrate a passion to supporting pupils with special educational needs.
  • Work closely with a small group of pupils who have special educational needs, providing face-to-face support to those with SEMH.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered to succeed.
  • Collaborate with staff members, other educational professionals, and parents to develop strategies for student success.

 

Other things to consider:

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30

Pay starting from £157.66 per day (as per the national framework for Wales).

Qualifications required: Degree with QTS, PGCE with QTS or equivalent for UK.
